In my mind, I have 2 kinds of werewolves..
1)the traditional curse werewolf: would be a few minutes long, jerky and painful
2)the magical werewolf: a person/wolf who chooses to transform, it would last just a few seconds and be smooth.

Depends on whether you've mastered your instincts or not. If you have, it short and smooth, even instantaneous, if you've really mastered it.

if it was the first time it transforms i would do 2 min and verry Jerky/painful looking than the next couple of times 30 sec, Jerky/painful looking, and when it gets used to it a couple of seconds but still a little bit painfull.

but that is if it would be used in an annimated series, if it was for one single animation i would only go for the 2 min because you can put a lot of emotion and stuff like that into it.

I love longer transformations, especially in movies because I love geeking out over the special effects. XD And jerky/painful is more interesting to watch..... basically my ideal werewolf transformation would be like the one in American Werewolf in London. I mean it's a curse, you get all the enhanced senses and strength and everything but there should be a price to pay. The transformation shouldn't be a walk in the park. YEAH, THERE BE MY TWO CENTS.

I voted smooth/elegant just 'cause a jerky/painful transformation wouldn't be any fun. *doesn't think realism should get in the way of fun*

I always thought of werewolf transformation to be a beautiful natural process. They should be at ease and at peace knowing that they are shifting into their natural forms. From the small shifts I've experienced, it feels orgasmic at times, not painful.

Its done been said, but I'd agree with jerky and painful. I mean, come on, you have bones changing length and position, your face turns into a muzzle, that CAN"T be pleasant, your tailbone extends, your organs move...nothing about any of that would be very pleasant, right?

Hmmm... I kind of like`em both. Buuut I might choose... Half minute smooth.

It's either 8 or 80 for most people...

I say, few seconds, painful looking... Maybe admit some level of habit, in time!
