Part of my final project for Advanced Drawing for Animation class. (lol that's right, I draw a Pokémon for school, like a boss) We had to design a playing card, as I don't know anything about M:TG, I did me some Pokémon instead. Not that I've ever played the Pocket Monster TGC either...

But besides, I've been wanting to draw Mr. grumpy pants Thor the Tyranitar for the longest time!

I ended up livestreaming the whole drawing process last night from 4:30 till about 5:30am, making the full illustration come to about 7 hours, the card... OH GOD THAT CARD the design was actually rather difficult to re-create and that was another 2 hours (2 hours for break). I even found a font that's near perfect, I love my giant font library. Therefore the ONLY two things I didn't create from scratch were the Pupitar and the back of the card.

How spiffy would it be to have your own playing card? SUPER DUPER SPIFFY is right. I think I may make this into a series- do Riley's whole team or something.
