Quick little project I did in class today and thought I'd show off since I need more examples of my animation work floating around the interwebs. And yes, I realize it's horridly diseased with errors, especially moving into the flip.

This is a motion test I sketched up in Flash today of my alien raptor character Theod. Obviously he isn't a normal raptor, he's got more of an anthropomorphic build and the ability to move on all fours. And be kick ass in the process.



I used absolutely zero references, so all the movement is completely from my head or prior knowledge. Very rough, donno how much I'll get into polishing it further because I lack the time these days. He's going to be turned into 3D so don't expect me to complete this animation with colors and stuff. I think I'll have him do like an entire obstacle course eventually.


So enjoy watching him flip over and over... Or more accurately, it's a variation of a parkour move called a "cat" combined with like a front hand spring? Either way it was interesting to attempt it with a raptor XD

Sure you are more than welcome to... but as a warning, this animation really is diseased with errors and really isn't the best reference material oh gawd.
