So remember that time when I was taking a sculpture class? Yeeeah... that was back in Spring quarter. Well I got lazy and then didn't have any sort of good setup for taking photos so I never got around to photographing the finished product till now.

...7 MONTHS LATER LAWL

This was actaully the 3rd project we were required to do: a painted full character sculpture. I made mine of the very first character I ever created: Bubbletron. I don't really do anything with him anymore but he still has a special place in my heart. I'll get around to finishing his ref sheet one day... it's about 1/4 done and I haven't touched it since 2007. But he's were I got my first DA account name: ~Bubbletron13

I kinda want to re-design him since he looks too much like an Agumon/Charizard love child. Shutup I was like 9 years old ><


Super Sculpey clay with a wire and tin-foil armature, painted with lacquer and acrylic. (First time using spray paint so it's not a good job either)

Wow, you did a great job! I'm sure you passed your sculpting class with flying colors. ^^

Thanks so much! And while I did pass...with a C... I could have gotten a much better grade if I actaully finished projects on time ^^; This one wasn't painted on time. Eheheh

You should do some sculpture! The last time I did sculpture for any sort of class was 7th grade. Kinda sad :<

Well actually, I did take a pottery class in the Spring semester awhile back and then switched to hand sculpting, but the instructor that teaches that class is mean. I had to drop that class, but I did make a Zero head sculpture from Nightmare Before Christmas.

Yeah, I did do sculpting in 7th Grade too. I made digimon figures and it was only Gatomon. Here's the link if you want to see it: [link]

I loved Gatomon. She was my favorite. Hmm........I should make a fursuit of her too, but one step at a time. ^^; I still want to do Kimba.

I dont believe i've seen wings of that scale moved to the head on a dragon, thats quite interesting ^__^

I think the head could use some work and especially the paint job (if you saw it up close you'd know why XD) but thanks very much for the fav and comment! :glomp: I think the hands and wings turned out the best. I really want to try my hand at re-doing my first character sculpt of my raptor now that I've gotten better at this.

Yeah I have yet to see any more wings on top of creature's heads myself. MY YOUNG MIND IS SO ORIGINAL! *shot*

Thanks very much! Small eyes are difficult to paint (but then again, paint is just all-around difficult to begin with.) Be careful: those eyes will blind you from an overload of bubbly cuteness if you stare at them too long. Wear sunglasses. B]

I like it it's really good, but hey it's not like you had to recreate four organic objects realistically, then paint them realistically... now that was annoying, I still need to take pictures of them, but they're in the class room still.
